Zorba the Greek is a very interesting book. Personally i thought it was great. Not only the way Nikos Kazantzakis wrote and expressed things but mostly the message he tries to convey. This message is found in most of his books. From what i know and from this book i think that message is freedom. General freedom and freedom of will. Meaning you should do something because you want to do it not because you are forced to. The book has been made to a movie if you are interested in that too. I don’t want to say much about it so that i don’t spoil anything. It’s definitely worth reading and i would recommend it to all of you.
